History
Founder Seiichi Iwasaki, born 1895 in Shimane, Japan came to run a small business called Iwasaki Kogyo in a Tokyo neighborhood for the manufacturing and selling of cables. In the 1930s, Seiichi Iwasaki got his start with the manufacturing of anti-induction telephones. With his product in high demand in the mining industry, the railroad industry, the police field, and the utility industry, Seiichi Iwasaki expanded and created the Iwasaki Tsushinki public business in 1638 (the abbreviation Iwatsu for Iwasaki Tsushinki became the official name in 1967). Since, Iwatsu has been a top Japanese telecommunications company and expanded globally.
